Seth I. Rosenberg is a personal-injury trial lawyer with Emergent LLP. Over his career, Seth has obtained tens of millions of dollars for his clients. Seth successfully represents clients in all types of catastrophic personal-injury cases, though he possesses a unique speciality in representing special-needs children injured due to the negligence of school districts and their employees.
His trial verdicts and settlements have been featured on news outlets throughout California and around the country. Some of Seth’s notable accomplishments include:
- In 2024, Seth resolved cases for $1.6 million, $3 million and $4 million with those cases involving premises liability, school sexual assault, and school negligence resulting in a near fatal drowning;
- In 2019, Seth was named a finalist for Trial Lawyer of the Year by the San Francisco Trial Lawyer’s Association in connection with his 2018 trial against Electronic Dance Music D.J., Skrillex, wherein Skrillex’s stage dive resulted in a catastrophic stroke to his client. After a five-week trial, a Los Angeles jury reached a $4.5 million verdict, nearly five times Defendants’ last pre-trial offer;
- In 2013, Seth resolved a case against BART involving a young girl who had her foot caught in a BART escalator. As a result of this case, BART put new warnings on its escalators system-wide;
- Seth was a Northern California Rising Star in 2011-2012, a Northern California Super Lawyer every year since 2013 (2013-2026), and recognized by Best Lawyers every year since 2014 (2014-2026).
Seth was admitted to the California Bar in 2001 and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts in the Northern and Central Districts of California. He received a J.D. from Columbia University, graduating with academic honors, and earned his B.A. cum laude at the University of Pennsylvania.
